When I was pregnant with my daughter, I bought a dress at a maternity shop, and the sales clerk offered me a deal I couldn't refuse—$3 for a year-long subscription to four magazines. My art practice is now limited to two-hour stints during nap time, but at least the magazine subscription provided ample source material for portrait studies. This is one of those portraits.
