What makes “Tableau” unique is the software used to create it. It's an original program based on over 9000 lines of JavaFX code, which I developed over a period of 2 years. The work combines photo-collage and animation.
Soon after posting the “Tableau” video, JavaFX was dropped from Java and all its future releases, which was the end of the road for me and Java.
Since August of 2019, I've been working on a new version of the program based on Python/PyQt—posting videos to YouTube to document my progress as well as the code to GitHub as I go.
