Lynne Lofton

“Re-vision of Darkness”
Hand built earthenware, underglazes, glazes, 12” x 20” x 6”

The past year, I was initially an unwilling participant in what seemed to be a very challenging experiment. Being presented with an option of forced introspection, I found myself feeling boxed in, and encountering a new normal beyond my comfort zone.

As an artist working in clay, my release was to become grounded with the material and the concept of containment.

The evolution of my boxes became a meditation, forcing me to become present and aware of making space within, in order to cultivate new growth from the dark interior.

If you don't go in, you can't find out.
