“Rhonda with her Boa”
Oil on board, 8” x 8”

This piece is one from an ongoing series I have been working on for about a year now. “Rhonda” was a friend who was murdered in Detroit 20 years ago. The paintings on board are derived from 4 black and white photographs of her - photographer unknown.

Artist Bio

Plein air painting and photographs are used reference material throughout my work. I usually am very connected emotionally to them. I consider myself an expressionist painter.
