The literal and symbolic content of images interests me. I will use objects and scenes familiar to me from my home and locality. Pictures will often time become embellished from memory and imagination. I aim to find and portray the miraculous in the everyday.
I received my B.F.A. in Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1981. In 1985 I received my M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I've taught Painting and Drawing at Purdue University Fort Wayne since 1989. Denise Bibro Fine Arts in N.Y.C. has represented me as a gallery since 1998.
